In the night, the stormy night, away she’d fly. In the night, the stormy night, she closed her eyes. This means, in her own paradise, nothing can hurt her. After the first part of the lyrics mentioned before repeat themselves, and the bullets catch in her teeth follows. So, she escapes reality and visits her own paradise where everything is perfect when she dreams. However, as the girl grows older, she finds out the hard way that life won’t be wonderful all the time. This set of lyrics means that a young, naive girl thought the world would be a perfect place where everything goes right. But it flew away from her reach, so she ran away in her sleep and dreamed of para-para-paradise, para-para-paradise, every time she closed her eyes. When she was just a girl, she expected the world. Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, says he finds himself narrating the life of a girl who has gone through something emotionally and/or physically damaging. The song helped me get through some pretty hard times in my life and still helps me to this day. Hello everyone! Before I begin my interpretation, I would like to say that Paradise by Coldplay is my all-time favorite song.
